  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and minced optional for heat
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime juiced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple and strawberries.
  2. Add the finely chopped red onion and minced jalapeño to the bowl.
  3. Stir in the chopped cilantro and lime juice.
  4. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding salt if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
