Ingredients
  

Batter
  • 4 large eggs preferably free-range
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or any milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 scoop protein powder vanilla or unflavored
Bread
  • 8 slices whole grain bread or gluten-free bread
Toppings
  • 1 cup fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup optional
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt optional

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and protein powder until smooth.
Cook the French Toast
  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the batter, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  3. Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Serve the French toast warm, topped with fresh berries, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dollop of Greek yogurt if desired.
