Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe avocados halved and pitted
  • 1 medium lime juiced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice, red onion, tomato, garlic, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Stir in cilantro if using.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping.
