Preparation
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
- Add lime juice, red onion, tomato, garlic, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Stir in cilantro if using.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping.
