  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (113g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sturdy burger buns
  • ¼ cup (60ml) ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the jalapeño filling: In a bowl, mix chopped jalapeños with cream cheese and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
  2. 2. Form patties: Divide ground beef into four equal portions (about 4 oz each) and shape into thick patties slightly larger than your buns.
  3. 3. Cook patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties one by one and smash down flat. Cook for about 3 minutes on one side before flipping.
  4. 4. Add filling: Once flipped, place a generous spoonful of the jalapeño-cream cheese mixture on each patty and sprinkle with remaining cheddar. Cover to melt cheese quickly.
  5. 5. Assemble: Toast the buns lightly in another pan. Once cooked, transfer patties onto buns, drizzle with ranch dressing, and top with another bun.
