  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • ½ cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly followed by crumbled sausage and diced ham.
  4. Roll the dough tightly from one edge to form a log shape and pinch seams closed to secure fillings.
  5. Cut small strips from leftover dough and lay them across the top of the rolled stromboli in an ‘X’ pattern to resemble mummy wrappings.
  6. Whisk together the egg and water. Brush this mixture over the entire stromboli.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing.
