  • 2 cups crushed salted pretzels
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry jello mix
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed pretzels with melted butter and ¼ cup sugar; press into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and remaining sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip and spread over cooled pretzel crust.
  3. Dissolve jello mix in boiling water; add cold water once dissolved. Let it cool slightly before folding in sliced strawberries. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Refrigerate for at least four hours until set. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
