This dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or an impressive meal for guests. The combination of garlic, basil, and succulent steak creates a delightful experience that will tantalize your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet and let it rest.
  3. Lower the heat in the same skillet and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Slice the rested steak into bite-sized pieces. Add cooked pasta and pesto to the skillet, tossing everything together gently over medium heat.
  5. Plate the mixture and drizzle with extra olive oil if desired.
