  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (pure)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs until smooth. Stir in pumpkin puree.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Drop dollops of remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean but moist.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve warm.
