- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, warm the milk to lukewarm. In a large bowl, combine warm milk with yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- Add melted butter, granulated sugar, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into about 12 equal slices. Place in greased pan and let rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
