  • 150g dark chocolate (high-quality)
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 100g golden syrup (or maple syrup)
  • 50g chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the digestive biscuits into small pieces using a food processor or rolling pin.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt dark chocolate and unsalted butter until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in golden syrup, then add crushed biscuits (and nuts if desired). Combine well.
  4. Line a square baking dish with parchment paper and pour the mixture in, pressing down firmly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
  6. Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
