- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In another bowl, mix sugar and vegetable oil until combined. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in red food coloring and vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
- Chill dough for about an hour in the refrigerator.
- Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and coat generously in powdered sugar. Place on prepared sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until slightly set but still soft in the center. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to plates.
