Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes into 1/8-inch thick rounds.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat; stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until warmed through.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, pour half of the sauce over them, and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes until golden brown.
