  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong espresso or coffee, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies (Savoiardi)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice strawberries; set aside with whole blueberries.
  2. Brew strong coffee and allow it to cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix mascarpone cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the cooled coffee.
  5. Layer dipped ladyfingers in a serving dish, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture, then sprinkle with berries. Repeat layers.
  6. Chill for at least four hours or overnight before serving. Dust with cocoa powder just before serving.
