  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 28 oz canned diced tomatoes (fire-roasted preferred)
  • 4 cups beef broth (low-sodium)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until soft (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart while browning for about 5–7 minutes; drain excess fat if needed.
