  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup canned tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add remaining butter if needed. Sauté chopped onions until translucent (about 3 minutes).
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in canned tomato puree along with garam masala, turmeric, and cumin. Stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and slowly stir in heavy cream until well combined. Simmer gently for another 5 minutes.
  6. Return cooked chicken to the pan along with any collected juices. Cook everything together for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
