- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–4 tbsp milk (to desired consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let sit until frothy. Add eggs, melted butter, flour, and salt; mix until sticky dough forms.
- Knead: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about five minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl to rise for one hour until doubled in size.
- Make the Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and diced apples in a bowl.
- Roll It Out: Roll the risen dough into a rectangle about half an inch thick. Spread melted butter over it and sprinkle the apple mixture evenly on top.
- Roll and Slice: Roll up tightly from one edge and slice into one-inch thick rolls. Place in a greased baking pan.
- Bake: Cover with a towel while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
