Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well before incorporating the mashed bananas.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Allow to cool before slicing.
